OMBELLE 75% kid mohair, 20% wool and 5% polyamide
Mohair by 100gr skein, natural white, ready to dye
OMBELLE is a ready-to-dye mohair yarn from the Fonty spinning mill. Combining 75% mohair fiber, which provides a vaporous, fuzzy and swelling side, with a binding fiber ("yarn core") made with 20% natural wool and 5% polyamide material (the later provides resistance and elasticity while serving to make the loops).
Mohair fiber is the fleece of the particular breed of goats of Caucasian origin, raised today mainly on the highlands of South Africa, even if high quality breeding has been developing in France for several years. Fonty selects fine, long and homogeneous fibers from herds of young animals.
Ombelle is used for knitting, crochet and weaving (weft yarn). This yarn can be used alone, doubled, or even tripled, or mixed with other yarns to obtain subtle assemblies associating the visual effect of mohair with the properties of other materials (softness, shine, elasticity, resistance).
