This is a large portable Mirrix Loom, designed for to be large enough to accommodate a small rug. It can easily be moved from room to room or driven to a workshop while able to make a weaving at a size usually reserved for large, heavy, immobile floor looms.
On this 97 cm wide loom you can weave a tapestry up to width 89 cm and height 144 cm (155 cm without the shedding device).
Not only is it great for large-scale tapestries, but it's wonderful for weaving small area rugs. Double top and bottom beams make this loom incredibly strong for the perfect tension every weaver needs. Place the loom upright with two fold-out legs on a table or on The Mirrix Harvey Stand (optional).
The shedding device doesn’t have to be used for every project. When warping you can choose to put the shedding device on the loom or not to. If you plan on using the shedding device with this loom, you will want to buy heddles (Texsolv heddles for Mirrix loom) or you can make your own heddles.
The top and bottom beams are made of anodized aluminium; the sidebars are made of steel and copper; the wooden clips are made of maple.
