Band lock for bandweaving

Band lock for bandweaving (for use with tablets or rigid heddle).

Allows to easily maintain and advance the woven band during weaving.

The end of the warp is attached to a fixed point and the weaver takes seat at a suitable distance, wraps the beginning of the warp (or the woven part of the band) around the band lock and then puts the warp under tension by slightly leaning backwards. As the weaving progresses, the weaver simply feeds the woven band between the two wooden parts.
